Dr Yani Rahmawati is currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Architecture and Planning at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia. At UGM, she also holds positions as Chief Editor for nationally accredited journals in the scope of the built environment and community engagement. Prior to joining UGM, she was a senior lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. At UTP, she was appointed as project coordinator for the university’s consultancy projects and alumni coordinator. She was also invited as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Mahidol University, Thailand. Since 2018, as principal investigator, she secured 6 international research grants, industry grants with clients from PETRONAS and Bank Indonesia, and national grants with main research interests in integrated design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), sustainable construction, decommissioning, human capital development, and innovative teaching and learning. As an academic, she successfully delivered innovative collaborative teaching and learning programs with industries and international collaborators, impacting positive student learning experiences and securing awards from international teaching and learning competitions.
