This study aims to investigate the lexical variation of Javanese on the Bulik Guru
channel in the episode Made by Rusmini Edyan, as well as analyze the tendency of
where this lexical variation is used, and what factors influence it. The method used in
this analysis is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were taken from all the
characters in that one episode which were analyzed using Wijana's lexical variation
theory (2019). Data collection techniques use listening, reading, and note-taking data.
The method of data analysis starts from viewing, collecting, then classifying, and
transcribing. In one episode of Besutan on the Bulik Guru channel, it was found that
there were variations of the Javanese language originating from Mataraman (Madiun)
and Arekan (Surabaya) which influenced the variations of the Javanese language in
Jombang. Then, that there are onomasiologist lexical variations and semasiological
lexical found variations. Onomasiology lexical variations are divided into four fields
of meaning namely, pronomina, conjunction, adjective, and adverbial. The frequency
of using Javanese Arekan (Surabaya) is more dominant in this study. Meanwhile, the
difference in the variation of the Javanese language occurs due to geographical
factors, the social educational background of the speakers and speech partners, what
context is being discussed, and the interest of the public to watch Besut performed as
the forerunner of ludruk in East Java. |
