Landslides in Indonesia occurred mostly because of rain infiltration and the excessive load to the slope. One of the solutions is reinforcement using geo-roots, one of the plants that can be used is Vetiver plant (Chrysopogon zizanioides). Vetiver plants can be a solution to reinforce slopes. The soil properties of geo-root need to be proven to determine its effect as a reinforcement material. This study is determining both physics and mechanical properties of the reinforced soil. Physics properties determined by soil moisture that observed during the planting. Mechanical properties measured by tensile test in the end of planting. The test results show a decrease in the soil moisture and an increase in the soil strength.
