Implementing Large-Scale Social Restrictions (LSSR) in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic caused a very
sharp decline in tourism indicators, such as the number of trips by domestic tourists and the number of hotel guests. The travel restrictions caused a decrease in the number of domestic tourist trips in Kalimantan to 10.11 million trips or 79.92 percent compared to 2019 of 50.34 million. The number of guests who came and stayed at star hotels in Indonesia during 2020 reached 2.54 million people, a decrease of 43.74 percent compared to 2019, which gained 4.51 million people. Since 2022, the economy has improved, including the tourism industry. This study aims to look at the development of several tourism indicators and determine the factors that affect the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the Accommodation and Food and Beverage Provision business in Kalimantan, Indonesia. The method used is unbalanced panel data regression analysis. Based on the analysis results, the appropriate model is a one-way unbalanced panel data regression model with a fixed-time effects approach, and the factor affecting GRDP in the Accommodation and Food and Beverage Provision business in Kalimantan was the number of guests at star hotels. |
