Concrete filter is one of the drinking water treatment plant with simple and cheaptechnology. This study developed a concrete filter technology so that the waterproducts meet quality requirements of drinking water. The main ingredient ofconcrete filter is a mixture of cement and sand, which is in the shape of cylinderwith a diameter and thick of 10 cm and 20 cm respectively. Concrete filtercharacteristics are designed with variation of sand diameter and the ratio of sandcement (m). Concrete filters are arranged in the filtration installation in twostages, using coarse concrete filter (CCF) and fine concrete filter (FCF). The testresults showed the reduction of microbial content in water with a level of rejection(R) and log removal value (LRV) respectively around 0.9871 and 1.85, as well asthe reduction of turbidity levels to be below 5 NTU (meet the drinking waterquality standard).
