The “Malaysia Urban Conservation Initiatives (MUCI) – Taiping Heritage” is a pilot project which aims to promote urban heritage awareness among the Malaysian public. By using information and communication technology, especially the power of Internet, MUCI intends to create greater appreciation
of urban heritage by providing a common platform for all stakeholders to discuss, appreciate and play an active role in conserving our heritage. MUCI – Taiping Initiatives commenced from 1st November 2009 and will end in October 2010. To date we have organized several programs in Taiping and this “2nd M.U.C.I. Workshop On Cultural Mapping for School Children in Taiping Heritage Town” is a continuation of one of the programs we had organized earlier this year. |
