| Abstrak/Abstract |
This study aims to identify the framework that serves as a guide to the path of the detailed work plan document that integrates the entire plan and implementation program of sustainable tourism development in Indonesia. The other most crucial objective is to provide a framework for stakeholders in creating plans to unify understanding and drive policy-defining agreement towards the monitoring of Sustainable Tourism Development (STD) guidelines in a comprehensive way on the principle of monitoring in a concise, transparent, measurable, detailed, adjustable, commitment, formal. Design/methodology/approach – The method is to find a phenomenon's elements, characteristics, and properties. The method begins with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, which is carried out through survey techniques, case studies, comparative studies, studies of time and motion, and documentation analysis.
Findings –The results of this study resulted in the involvement of stakeholders in the monitoring process at the STO site regarding sustainable tourism issues and the periodic monitoring and reporting process carried out by the Sustainable Tourism Observatory (STO); Government and institutions (academics or research institutions) as well as all stakeholder including the community in developing sustainable travel destinations that have become one of the accelerating forces of sustained tourism development in Indonesia.
