Photoacoustic system based on diode laser and condenser microphone had been created and examined for blood concentration measurement. Characterization of microphone Arduino Uno R3 and laser were done to get the most appropriate setting for the system. Samples of this study were blood in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) medium with various concentration. The photoacoustic system was used to examine sample of 10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, and 90% blood concentration, 5 times for each sample, so that the calibration equation of the acoustic intensity level vs blood concentration was obtained. Finally, the system was examined for measuring sample of 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% blood concentration. Results of this study show that the appropriate setting of the photoacoustic system for blood concentration measurement are: (1) the laser modulation frequency is (18,420 80) Hz and the duty cycle is (50.0 0.8)%. The tangent value and obtained from the examination are close to 1, they are 0.8 0.2 and 0.85 respectively. This results proved that the system is accurate and linear enough for blood concentration measurement. |
