Indonesia is one of the greatest biodiversity especially plant resources for different benefits including cosmetic. It has two type of natural cosmetics. The first one is modern cosmetics with plant organ as active materials and the second ones are real traditional cosmetics. The examples of modern natural cosmetic are Celery shampo, Jasmine lotion, and Chocolate scrub, whereas the examples of traditional cosmetics are usually specified with traditional name such as Mangir, Lulur, Cebok. Even in the millenial time, the traditional cosmetics are still exist especially in rural area and in the palace. |
