Abstrak/Abstract Introduction. Electrocardiography (ECG) is a non-invasive technique that is used to diagnose heart abnormalities. Many cardiac diseases can be classified based on RR interval using QRS complex waveform. R-Peaks detection will be an important factor to detect various cardiac diseases. Aim. Method improvement to detecting R-Peak location for classifying any cardiac diseases. Method. We propose a development method for R-peak detection using modified Pan-Tompkins Algorithm. Based on that method we change the threshold value by normalization technique and moving windows approach to get the location of R-peaks. Result. By using MIT-BIH dataset, our proposed method can show the R-Peaks detection with 99.84% accuracy and 0.16% total error rate detection. Conclusion. Our proposed method has a potential to be used is classifying various cardiac abnormalities based on the value of R-Peaks detection.
