Abstrak/Abstract The aim of the study was to assess the added value, total economic value, level of consumer demand and the superiority of stringray commercial products. The economic value of fresh modol stingray skin is IDR 30,000 per sheet, tanned leather of IDR 125,000, main commercial leather product (wallet) type 2-in-1 is IDR 650,000 and type 3-in-1 is IDR 1,250,000 and derivative products (pearl bracelets) is IDR 400,000 with Added Value reaching IDR 1,650,000. The economic value of fresh stingray skin is IDR 100,000 per two sheet, tanned leather is IDR 300,000, main commercial leather product (2-in-1 type wallet) of IDR 950,000 and 3-in-1 type walet is IDR 1,500,000 and derivative products (pearl bracelets) is IDR 800,000 with Added Value reaching IDR 2,300,000. The difference in the Added Value of creative products from thorn stingray skins to the stingray skin products is IDR 650,000. The consumer preferences from mondol stringray leather product are (1) models: 80% of respondents expressed a very interesting ; (2) color: 88% of respondents expressed a very interesting ; (3) quality: very goods is 80% ; (4) price: 16% of stated they were quite expensive, 30% of considering it very expensive and 54% said reasonably priced ; (5) purchasing power: 24% said affordable, 66% said reasonably priced and 10% of limited. The consumer preferences from thorn stringray leather product are (1) models: 90% of respondents expressed a very interesting ; (2) color: 92% of respondents expressed a very interesting and ; (3) quality: very high (85%) ; (3) price: 10% of stated they were quite expensive and 90% of considering it very expensive and (5) purchasing power: 65% said affordable, 30% said reasonably priced & 5% of unreachable).
