Abstrak/Abstract Rapid technological developments lead to increase of the demand of electrical energy. The demand of electrical energy consumption is majorly from household sector. People often forget and indolent to turn off unused electronic devices. Unconsciously, these usages waste of electrical energy. Therefore, it is require a system to assist people in managing the home electronic devices. This study provide a solution in managing the electronic devices with a home automation system. The system is built on the Arduino Mega and utilizes Souliss framework for home automation programming. In the proposed system, some electronic devices will have a smart mode that allow the electronic device be self managed. Management of electronic devices can be done with a smartphone with the aid of OpenHAB software. Using the designed home automation, user can manage and monitor the home electronic devices with their smartphone or computer. The results show that the average delay from user interface to actuator is 0.55 second. While, the average delay from electronic system to user interface is 28.32 second with standard deviation of 6.16 second.
