Abstrak/Abstract Cultural landscape is the complex expression of a lifestyle as a result of the synergy between cultural and natural heritages in space and time unit, which creates a complex phenomenon with tangible and intangibleidentities. It is the human imprint containing rich historical data reflected in the landscape and cultural conditions.Pathok negara, a famous name of four historical mosques located in four corners of Yogyakarta, is one of the spatial core element of Yogyakarta Kingdom. Begun to be built in the era of Sri Sultan HamengkuBuwono I (1723) until 1825, the four pathok negara are as social defence fortress, which implicitely include community economic, religion, and sultanate political development values. The high historical value and roleof Pathok Negara in Yogyakarta Kingdom support their existence as a cultural landscape heritage that become the cultural identity of Yogyakarta. The forms and outstanding values of pathok negara culturallandscape heritage are: 1) their role in the specialness of Yogyakarta; 2) the existence of the historical pathok negara mosques; and 3) the community culture that is strongly influenced by Islamic religion values. All the cultural landscape forms and outstanding values of the four pathok negara are still exist until today. However, in a dynamic environment, changes are experienced by pathok negara cultural landscape heritage over time that can be a threat for its continuity. For that reason, efforts in conservation and management are needed tomaintain its continuity
