The use of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) to strengthen structures in automotive applications is increasing rapidly. The specific area in which the method has lately been presented is the strengthening of steel plate with CFRP laminates. The purpose of this research is to experimentally identify the effect of hybridization between CFRP-SPCC properties under static tensile tests. CFRP specimens consisting of different number of layers and stacking sequences of CFRP were used in this research. Strain gauges was used in all specimens to determine the stress-strain curves. The result reveals that adding CFRP laminates to SPCC plate increase the maximum strength of laminates from 284.29 MPa to 3380.17 MPa. By combining CFRP and SPCC, the maximum strain can increase from 1.84% to 2.15%. Moreover, it was observed that different stacking sequences and combinations of CFRP-SPCC laminates significantly affect the mechanical properties of the laminates.
