Abstrak/Abstract | The best performance of 5 axis milling CNC machine depends on the time completion and the lifetime of the cutting tool. The life time can be justified from how much chips adhered to the cutting tool after milling process completed. These two conditions are affected by two parameters namely: the feet rate and the depth of milling. To find the optimum parameters, we conduct simulations and experiments. The simulations and the experiments use MasterCam X7 CNC Software and DMG Mori 5 axis milling CNC machine, respectively. The material used in this study was Polymer Necuron 651. The results revealed the combination of Feed Rate and Depth of Milling with higher feed rate and deeper milling process caused the cutting tool adhered with more chips and caused less of life cycle. |
