The Marine energy resource has a great potential in
Indonesia. The geographic condition of Indonesia as an
archipelago so might be utilized for the development of marine
energy in the future as wind offshore. Distributed generation (DG)
placement can affect the flow of power and voltage on the bus in
the distribution system. Therefore, the placement of DG must be
considered and planned in detail in order to work optimally. The
DG placement in optimal manner may increase losses in the system
and also has an effect on the voltage profile will decrease. In
addition, the capacity of DG must be considered to have a positive
impact on the distribution network. In practice, load patterns in
the distribution network vary by time. DG placement and optimal
capacity at varying loads may not be optimal for the load demand
is always different every time. For the purpose of planning,
placement, and DG capacity is determined by considering the peak
load, average or a combination of the two loading conditions to get
maximum results. The experimental results show that the purpose
flower pollination algorithm method is indeed capable of obtaining
high quality solutions efficiently.
