ABSTRACT
Indonesia is islands country, located mainly in South East Asia. The Availability of electricity that can be accessed by all Indonesian, particular in the remote or small insland can be very challenging due to the geography condition of Indonesia. The government plans to promote various renewable energy resources to power small and remote island. The availability of the various renewable energy resources, the hybrid system could be built by combining some renewable energy resources, therefore it is necessary to search the optimum hybrid system configuration. One of the methods that are use to determine the optimization of the hybrid is HOMER. HOMER is a computer micropower system modeling that can be used to analyze and design hybrid system configuration due to the uncertain power output and its availability of various rnewable energy resources and electric load. The scenario of this study comparing a few hybrid system configuration using the program HOMER, to find the best setup with economic constraint and technical constraint. The location of the research is Nusa Island, remote island locate in North Sulawesi
