The idea of this sub project to identify prone area to flood (hazard analysis). It is important to identify the distribution or spatial pattern of hazard level to flood in order to avoid further losses and or to reduce potential impact along the railway. At this point, the distribution of prone area (hazard) is an input to conduct element at risk distribution. Within the hazard area, there are potential assets and individual resides. Thus, this research tries to identify the element at risk (vulnerable analysis). The analysis of elements at risk along the railways play a vital role to identify and evaluate the vulnerable assets such as individuals, and land use as active and productive assets owned by locals. First thing first, to identify accurate element at risk, the land use data is prior input for the research. The land use modelling is conducted to validate data in use since it originated from different sources. As the element at risk is not limited to land use per se, thus, the demographic analysis is carried out to introduce the vulnerable groups along the railway. In addition, the assessment of potential economic sectors along the railway is also important to study to determine the possibility of being affected by the disaster. |
