Biodiversity conservation planning requires accurate baseline data and collaboration of many parties. In order to realize this, collecting data using a multidisciplinary approach is a crucial first step that will provide strong foundation for planning and determining conservation strategies. To achieve this, in 2025 the project objective is to obtain comprehensive and accurate baseline data to support the achievement of the great mission of preserving biodiversity in Ibu Kota Nusantara. The first year project is Identification of Potential High Conservation Value Areas in Muara Jawa, Kutai Kertanegara. In a larger scope that will be achieved in the next 3 years this project aimed at conserving local biodiversity in Ibu Kota Nusantara through the integration of biological research and sociocultural insights, utilizing ethnobiological knowledge to inform and guide conservation efforts. |
