Abstrak/Abstract -Due to the diversity of landform configuration in Wonosobo district consisted of several aspects namely morphology, process, and material or lithology, this generates to different responds against lightning strike vulnerability in Wonosobo district. This is proven by recent lightning strike accidents threatening human safety besides subverting infrastructure and environment in just certain point locations. Lightning strike occurrence in Wonosobo district so far provokes negative impacts towards human, infrastructure, and environment. Accordingly, mapping on lightning strike vulnerability is consequential to be undertaken in order to minimize negative impacts by dint of lightning strikes. This research is intended to find lightning strike vulnerability zones out built upon landform condition and find correlation out between lightning strike vulnerability and landforms. Lightning strike mapping takes place in Wonosobo district, Central Java. The Data used are Cloud to Ground type lightning strike data and annual thunder-day data in 2015 based on climatological data sets from BMKG. The data are processed using Lightning Detector 2000 software and mapped using Arcgis with Krigging method. According to image interpretation, there are three geomorphological units in Wonosobo district namely Volcanic, Structural, and Fluvial. Those three geomorphological units have differences in terms of morphology, topography, and material. The results shows that the highest intensity of lightning strike vulnerability occurs in volcanic geomorphological unit. This condition sprung by topography and constituent material effects. A better development in disaster risk management ought to be emphasized on volcanic geomorphological unit considering the potential of lightning stike accident is still substantial.
