Abstrak/Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to describe the categorization of bread, pastry, cake, biscuit,
and cookies in the minds of the Javanese. The study was conducted using a questionnaire
given to 135 people using the snowball sampling technique. To achieve this goal, the first
step is to register or take an inventory of the lexicon of five foods in Javanese that emerged
from the respondents' responses and record the information related to them. Furthermore,
an analysis of the lexicon from the inventory is carried out. From the results of data
analysis, it is known that the Javanese categorize the five foods prototypically,
perceptually, and conceptually, and there are two categorization models, namely the
Idealized Cognitive Model (ICM) and the metonymic model. |
