Spatialinteractionismovementofgoods,information,people,andideabetweenoneplaceandotherplaces.Interactionbetweenplacescouldhappeninanywherethroughhumanitselfandtheiractivitiesinspace.OneoftheuniqueareaswherecontainedspatialinteractionisIslamicboardingschool.SpatialinteractioninthatareacanreflecttheuniquenessofareaspatialinteractioninIndonesia.AswecalledYogyakarta as a student city, Yogyakarta has various types of education. One of those is Islamic boardingschooleducation.ThisstudyisconductedinAlMunawwirKrapyakIslamicBoardingSchooldistrict(Pondok Pesantren), in Yogyakarta urban fringe area. The purpose of this study is to examinethat islamic boarding school’s spatial interaction and those are related to influential factors. This study used a grounded research method with inductive-qualitative approach. This approach was donebyprocessingunitsofinformationobtainedinthefieldandthencoding,categorizationandconceptualizationofinformation.Thisstudyemployedsingleobservedobject,AlMunawwirKrapyakIslamic Boarding School and related entities. Based on this research, it was found that spatial interaction thatoccurs in Al Munawwir Krapyak Islamic Boarding School district is a traditional-religious spatial interactionin urban fringe. The most prominent principle which forms the interactions in this research is the relationshipbetweensupplyanddemandwhichisreflectedinbuyingandselling,social,educationandreligiousactivities. The rules of interaction that in accordance with the community values and religious laws of Islamare the new findings related to the theory of spatial interaction. Other findings which influenced to spatialinteraction are location of area in urban structure and media communication to interact. |
