Individuals with old age generally experience various changes, including health aspects. The higher life expectancy needs to be balanced with a better quality of life. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Spirituality and religiosity with the quality of life in the elderly. The research method used is a systematic study with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The data comes from electronic data from PubMed, MEDLINE, Cochrane, Garuda Dikti Portal, Science Direct, and Google Scholar published from 2012-2021. The keywords used are Spirituality, religiosity, elderly, and quality of life. A total of nine articles were meta-analyzed to examine the relationship between Spirituality and the quality of life of the elderly. The results showed a significant positive correlation (z = 3.668; p<0.001; 95% CI: 0.282; 0.928; rRE = 0.60). As for the relationship between religiosity and quality of life, eight articles were studied. Six of them show a relationship between religiosity and quality of life. The ability to perform activities of daily living and social support facilitates these relationships |
