ackground: Sexual problem generally encountered by teenagers is increasing sexual desire meanwhile they are unmarried. Negative factors such as information explosion on pornography and lack of communication between teenagers and parents are causes of teenagers having premarital sexual intercourse. Teenagers often have wrong perception about information on sex which is against ethical and moral values. Lack of understanding about sexual problem of teenagers can induce unhealthy and irresponsible sexual behavior. Objectives: The objective of the study was to identify the relationship between pornography exposure and communication between teenagers and parents with sexual behavior of teenagers in Senior High School 11 of Palembang. Methods: This was a cross sectional study design. Subject of the study were as many as 777 teenagers in Senior High School 11 of Palembang with 95 teenagers as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using chi square statistical test with significance level p=0.05. Results: There was significant relationship between pornography exposure and sexual behavior (p=0.00; OR=5.21; 95% CI= 2.15% – 12.64). Teenagers with high pornography exposure were at risk of having 5.2 times of bad sexual behavior than those at low exposure. There was significant relationship between communication between teenagers and parents and sexual behavior (p=0.02; OR=2.60;95% CI=1.10-6.14). Lack of communication between teenagers and parents brought about risk of increasing bad sexual behavior 2.6 times higher. High pornography exposure brought about bad sexual behavior 7.3 times higher than low exposure, after observed together with communication between teenagers and parents (p=0,00;OR=7,39;95%CI=2,71-20,15). Conclusion: High pornography exposure increased sexual behavior of teenagers. Lack of communication between teenagers and parents also increased sexual behavior. Pornography exposure was the most dominant factors related to sexual behavior of teenagers.
