Abstract
In this study proposed a new method for splitting the signal into a new signal sequence using a method called the multidistance different signal levels (MSLD). In MSLD, a set of new signal emerges from the absolute value of the difference between the two data samples at a set of defined distance. In the resulting signal, Hjorth descriptors are measured and tested using multilayer perceptron (MLP). The proposed method was tested on five classes of lung sounds. The results showed that the proposed method achieved maximum accuracy 98.76% for the 81 data used.
