Abstrak/Abstract Overexploitation of groundwater can cause groundwater levels to decrease. The Puncak Area is located in the Bogor Groundwater Basin in West Jawa Province, Indonesia, with a large groundwater discharge. Most of the clean water needed in The Puncak Area comes from groundwater, especially Upstream of the Ciliwung Sub-watershed. The high development in The Puncak Area has led to an increase in groundwater exploitation. It is feared that overexploitation of groundwater and land-use changes can impact groundwater drawdown in this area. This research aims to estimate groundwater recharge and quality based on physical and chemical parameters. In this study, the measurement of physical and chemical parameters was carried out to determine the suitability of groundwater for domestic use. Physical and chemical parameters, including Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), taste, smell, Electrical Conductivity (EC), pH, nitrate, and sulfate, were measured at twenty-five groundwater sources, including springs and dug wells. A simple groundwater balance is presented, which uses annual precipitation, annual evapotranspiration, and annual runoff to predict annual groundwater recharge. The precipitation data were obtained from three stations (Gadog, Cilember, Gunung Mas) for ten years, then analyzed using the Thiessen Polygon method. Temperature data were obtained from one climatological station (Citeko) for ten years. The results showed that precipitation value of 3215.97 mm/yr, an evapotranspiration value of 1238.96 mm/yr, and a runoff value of 760.05 mm/yr. The result of groundwater recharge estimation is positive, with a value of 1216.96 mm/yr. Groundwater quality measurements show that TDS has values in the range of 31 - 220 mg/l, EC values are in the range of 62 - 414 µs/cm, pH values are in the range of 5 - 7.3, nitrate value ranges from 2.11-80.86 mg/l, sulfate value ranges from 1.44-13.56 mg/l, all samples water are tasteless and odorless. Based on WHO standards, groundwater The Upstream of Ciliwung Sub-Watershed meets the standards of taste, smell, TDS, and sulfate. The pH, EC, and nitrate parameters at several sampling locations did not meet the standard.
