Abstrak/Abstract The transition to renewable energy is critical to achieve global climate targets and address climate change. Green hydrogen is increasingly recognized as a key enabler in decarbonizing the power sector. This study presents an integrated analysis combining a technological assessment and bibliometric mapping to examine the development and deployment of green hydrogen. It provides a comprehensive overview of the green hydrogen value chain—from production technologies to storage, distribution pathways, and utilization in power generation. In particular, this paper explores the potential and challenges of green hydrogen integration within Indonesia’s power sector. The bibliometric review identifies global research trends from 2000 to 2024, highlighting key contributing countries, collaboration networks, and thematic clusters. While countries such as China, Germany, and the United States lead in research output and influence, Indonesia remains underrepresented, underscoring the need for enhanced domestic research and international collaboration. To support the adoption of green hydrogen in Indonesia, stronger research capabilities and international partnerships are necessary to support the adoption of emerging technologies and their adaptation to Indonesia’s local context.
