Purpose: This study aimed to explore caregiver practices on optimizing toddlers healthy growth and development.
Methods: Employing a qualitative approach with an explanatory case study design. A qualitative exploration was carried out through semi-structured in-depth interviews with 19 parent participants selected via purposive sampling. All interviews were audio recorded and transcribed verbatim. Transcriptions were screened for relevant information, manually coded and analysed using qualitative content analysis.
Findings: Five themes related to caregiving practices were emerged including the fulfillment of children's health requirements, the provision of sufficient nutrition, responsive parenting, ensuring safety and security, and offering early learning opportunities.
Conclusion: Comprehensive support for optimizing the growth and development of stunted children requires collaboration among parents, family members, health centers, government initiatives, community organizations, and professionals in health, education, and social sectors.
