Abstrak/Abstract The different geographical origins may affect on the types of plants that serve as food sources influence the honey chemical composition. The objective of this study was to evaluate an antioxidant activity, total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC) and vitamin C contents of several honeys produced by the Indonesian stingless bee: Tetragonula laeviceps. Honey was obtained from three geographical origins, Sleman District was represented by the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta was represented by Katongan Village and Klaten District, Central Java was represented by Glodogan Village. The TPC and TFC were determined by the spectrophotometric UV-Vis method, antioxidant activity by DPPH assay method, vitamin C by the 2,6-dicholorophenolindophenol titrimetric method. All data were statistically analyzed using one-way analysis of variance followed by honestly significant difference (HSD) test. The results showed that the geographical origins had a highly significant effect (p<0.01) on TFC and antioxidant activity. In addition, the geographical region had a significant effect (p<0.05) on TPC but not on vitamin C (p>0.05). It can be concluded that honey from the Sleman and Klaten District have the highest TFC, TPC, and antioxidant activity than honey from Nglipar Gunungkidul.
