Abstrak/Abstract This study aims to find the degree of energy efficiency in building with different glassing type of building envelope. The amounts of energy used in building are depend on many factors, one of factor which has great impact is external heat gain. There are many ways in heat transfer from external gain, which is by radiation through glassing on opening of windows or doors, conduction from glass and conduction from wall. This external heat gain will be heat load for HVAC system which will consume energy. In heat transfer from external gain, radiation has most influence in overall heat gain, it’s around 80%. That’s way the use of appropriate glassing type will reduce the energy consumption significantly. The analysis will be done by simulating building which has same activities (in this case is office) with different type of building envelope, which are type of glassing and orientation, with assumsion of full glassing envelope. The value of OTTV from the analysis show that with 100% glassing of envelope, It’s too high from the minimum value requirement of SNI. Because of this, the efficiency value is not significant, 15% from HVAC enegy consumption and 10% -11% from whole energy consumption.
