Abstrak/Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate the dairy milk quality and production supplemented withherbal-protein mix concentrate. Sixteen early lactating Friesian Holstein dairy cows at PT. Jaten LembuGemilang were devided into two groups, each consisting of 8 cows. Group I was supplementea with 300 gilmilk produced/day High Quality Feed Supplement and 350 g herb Curcuma xanthorriza that cali~d HerbalProteinMix (HPM) concentrate and group II (control group) was not suplemented with HPM. Obi~ivationwas performed for 56 days for the two groups for milk production, milk quality (specific grafity, fat c~rit~nt,milk protein, solid non fat, and total solid), body weight, and analysis of worm's eggs. The observed datawas analyzed by using t-test. The results showed that there was no significant difference between control and'treatment group on milk density (1.09 vs 1.07), fat content (4.18% vs 3.98%), solid non fat (8.63% vs 8.44%),total solid (12.09% vs 11.86%) and protein content (3.17% vs 3.1 0%). Milk production of HPM groupcompared to the control group did not show any difference (12,11 vs 11,71), and so the body weight (470 kgvs 442 kg) and ADG (0.20 vs 0.05). Variance analysis for the percentage of the decrease ofthe worm's eggsdid not show significant difference on the two groups. It was concluded that HPM supplementation at thelevel of 300 g did not improve yet milk quality and production. Further trial, on the more important level ofsupplementation is required.
