Education for Health Self-Reliance in Facing the COVID-19 Pandemic Through the Utilization of Medicinal Biodiversity in Kampung Satwa, Kedung Banteng, Sumberagung, Moyudan Sleman
A good understanding of the medicinal biodiversity of plants and animals will ensure that the people of Kampung Satwa know how to maintain and recover their health when they are exposed to diseases including illness caused COVID-19. Medicinal biodiversity which is the potential for health self-reliance can be utilized as much as possible but then its conservation is maintained properly. Through the educational for sustainable development program, it is hoped that health self-reliance in facing the COVID-19 pandemic will be achieved. The program is implemented into a series of activities that can raise awareness of the inportance of medical biodiversity for health self-reliance. All activities are carried out as an elaboration of the concept of education for sustainable development because this is a method currently believed to guarantee the delivery of the concept of conservation. The program was carried out by carrying out the activity stages in sequence. We were working on Kampung Satwa with student community service program (KKN) and these students implemented those series of activities supported by Wagleri (Wahana Gerakan Lestari) Indonesia Foundation. There are limited direct activities to the field, because of this pandemic, the implementation of new activities will begin at the end of July 2020, and can actually only be carried out in August 2020.
