The coronavirus pandemic has inspired the UGM academic community to make a touchless handwashing place called Aswagama, using automatic sensors. So far, conventional handwashing with a system of contacting hands with a Faucet while washing hands can be a source of spreading the virus. This system is built using a simple technology concept: a switching circuit, a timer, and an infrared sensor. The infrared sensor automatically detects a hand in the sink and activates the water Faucet and soap dispenser. The switching circuit uses the MOSFET IRFZ44N1 transistor component, and the timer circuit uses the IC NE555. This timer circuit is used to adjust the time for the soap to come out of the dispenser. This system is designed not to use a mechanical pedal system. This appropriate technology is placed in several public health service facilities in DIY. |
