Abstrak/Abstract
The quality of electrical power basically is all issues
relating to the electrical power, including deviation of the
normal condition of voltage, current and frequency. The
electronic equipment currently used in households generates
significant current harmonic distortion. Objective of this
research is to mapping the harmonic distortion on household
electricity customers 450 VA and 900 VA are using the
distribution network together with the industry and
customers are separate distribution network with industry.
The study was conducted in various regions on Central Java
randomly with a load that is used daily and it is divided into
two groups. The first group is households with a distribution
network separated by a network that is used for industry.
The average percentage of total harmonic distortion of
current (%THDi) for an installed power of 900 VA is
37.94%, while customers with 450 VA % THDi is 49.85%.
The second group is households that live around the
industry in a network with industry. The average percentage
of total harmonic distortion of current (%THDi) for
installed power capacity of 900 VA is 38.83% and for the
customer with 450VA have a %THDi value of 41.29%.
Based on the above results and with reference to the IEEE
standard number 519 - 1992, really it is to improve the
power quality caused by the presence of the harmonic
components of current and voltage at the load of household
appliances.
