Faculty of Geography vision is to be an International Center of Excellence in Geography toward Sustainable Developments. This vision would be achieved with several mission through improving the good institutional governance, providing international standards of education, providing community service for solving environmental problems, improving national and international collaborative networks, improve the good institutional governance, and becoming qualified regional research activities. SDGs are channelling not only through education yet embedded in the research and community services activities. Several predominantly topics teach in the Faculty of Geography are closely related with SDGs such as regional development, climate change, environment, socio-economic and demographic, as well as disaster management. At the Department of Development Geography, there is a particular course about regional development from SDGs basis. The course basically learn about how SDGs impact the development of the world and Indonesia, how SDGs being implemented in Indonesia, and how the students could take a role as a leader of change for the development of Indonesia. SDGs seminar series conducted regularly with relevant topics for each goal or combination of several goals. Student’s activities also contribute to the SDGs through one of the annual program conducted by the students, OLGENAS International Geolympiad. |
