Abstrak/Abstract Gunung Kidul Regency is an area that has a karst ecosystem known as Karst Gunungsewu. The landscape caused this land to struggle with water scarcity due to its barren surface. One of the water recharge areas here is known as the Sumurup River. The river is called the allogenic recharge of Karst Gunungsewu. This river that passes through the settlement area and the city’s center has a bigger contamination potential due to its lack of filtration process by soil and rock, unlike non-karst areas. This research was conducted by taking samples in the field and then measuring its quality, followed by comparing the result to the Special Region of Yogyakarta Government Regulation No. 20 Year 2008, then scoring it with Storage and Retrieval (STORET) method. The result is that there has been pollution in Sumurup River by a concentration of phosphate parameters at 2.58 mg/l at location A-2. The highest sulfate parameter was 27 mg/l at A-4 location. The highest nitrate parameter was 18.4 mg/l at location A-2. The highest chloride parameter was 32.4 mg/l at monitoring point A-1. The highest count for total coliform was 16×109 MPN/100 ml at location A-2. In addition, The STORET score indicates that the quality status of all points is moderately polluted.
