Syringes are essential devices in hospitals. The design of the syringe must be tested before it is used for injection. Syringe testing using ISO 7886-1 document. One of the tests that need to be done is leakage testing. Leakage testing consists of air and air leakage. Pressure is applied to the barrel wall to carry out the test. Pressure causes a mechanical response in the barrel, and the mechanical response is needed to determine the failure analysis of the product. Mechanical response analysis in leakage testing in this study uses simulation with ANSYS Software. The stress and displacement findings from the investigation of the water and air leakage using ANSYS software are displayed. The 10 ml syringe barrel had the highest stress value during the water leakage test, 14.76 MPa, while the 1 ml variation had the lowest value, 4.83 MPa. The 1 ml syringe barrel had the highest stress value (1.12 MPa), while the 3 ml variation had the lowest value (0.87 MPa), according to the air leakage test. The 10 ml syringe barrel had the largest displacement values in the water leakage and air leakage tests, measuring 31.03 mm and 0.08 mm, while the 3 ml syringe barrel had the lowest displacement values, measuring 0.71 mm and 0.03 mm. |
