Pericardial diseases represent common cardiovascular abnormalities which is one of the major death causes globally, necessitating accurate diagnosis and management. The use of imaging modalities, such as echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CCT), and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), plays a crucial initial part in this process. Echocardiography becomes the very first-line test to assess the pericardium, while CCT and CMR imaging offer supe- rior delineation of pericardial diseases that leads to the response of therapy. A multi-modality approach, incorporating imaging modalities, such as echocardiography, CT, and MRI, becomes the crucial role in both the diagnosis and manage- ment of pericardial diseases. A comprehensive understanding of imaging findings from these diverse techniques provides a holistic perspective necessary to examine the intensity of pericardial abnormalities and plan effective management strategies. |
