Understanding health-seeking behavior toward dengue fever is crucial for early diagnosis and timely treatment to mitigate fatal outcomes. This article aims to define the concept of health-seeking behavior toward dengue fever using Walker and Avant’s method for a concept analysis. Based on this analysis, health-seeking behavior toward dengue fever were defined as a sequence of actions involving individual awareness, active engagement in dengue-preventive measures, the making of informed decisions about health, and the ensuring of timely access to healthcare services to effectively manage dengue fever. The findings contribute to healthcare providers and researchers in understanding how awareness, preventive actions, and access to care influence health-seeking behaviors. In addition, this concept analysis helps improve taxonomies in healthcare, which can facilitate a standardized language for articulating health-seeking behavior toward dengue fever in nursing and public health settings.
