The program will involve policymakers from national and local governments working on the Makassar to Parepare railway line, who will work with PAIR researchers to understand how research findings can be used in their policy and program decisions. The purpose of the program is to train the policymakers in research-to-policy, and help them build their network of colleagues in Australia and Indonesia. The policymakers themselves are mid- senior level and have been specially selected based on their roles in key offices and departments related to the Makassar to Parepare railway line.
We invite you to Makassar to present the findings from your PAIR research and speak on the topic of maximising the effectiveness of the Sulsel railway line, including integrated risk management and freight and passenger demand forecasting. Your session at the pre-departure training will run for 1.5 hours starting at 13.30 (Central Indonesian Time) on 1 August 2023 at Ruang Rapat Mamminasata Lt.IV, Kantor Bappelitbangda Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. It will include your presentation, questions from the group and other interactive activities.
